Wayne Glenn, “The Old Record Collector” from KTXR’s Remember When and Nostalgia Time was Bill and Art’s special guest Thursday morning, November 17.
Wayne has put his vast knowledge of music into a fabulous hardcover book (his fifth) called
The Ozarks Greatest Hits
It is loaded with lots of great photos and traces folk and popular music ties to and from the Ozarks, circa 1880 to 1979. Among other things, the book has lots of great details of such music legends as The Ozark Jubilee television show that ran nationally from Springfield on ABC in the late 1950’s, and of course The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, with their blend of folk and rock in the 1970’s.
